The Panthers closed out their final regular season home game (Sophomore Night) with a big win over perennial Big 8 power Santa Rosa Tuesday 68-45. Sophomore Jessica Lauderdale led the way with 23 points going 3-4 from three point line. Sophomore Isabelle Beaven scored 15 and freshman Maddy Bates added 12. Beaven and Bates combined to shootT 7-12 from three point line. As a team City scorched the nets shooting 12-26 (46%) from three. The Sac City Panthers team effort and execution on defense held SRJC to (17-54) 31.5% from the field & 5-20 (25%) from the three point line.
Coach Julz and the Panthers are now 13-14 overall and 6-7 in the Big 8 this season. City will finish its Big 8 schedule on the road at American River Thursday at 5:30 PM.
