The Bear Cubs' (8-3) opponent in the Consolation Bracket Final of the CCSF Golden Gate Classic were the Trojans (5-9) of Skyline College. The Bear Cubs jumped out to a 7-0 lead on Lucca Lowenberg's 3-pointer, Ivy Gonzalez's 1-footer off of Reese Searcy's assist, and Meredith Gilbertson's baseline cut and assist from Searcy at the 5:27 mark. Serena Mozzetta's field goal got the Trojans on the scoreboard 51 seconds later. After Praise Nigimar swished a 3-pointer, Jenika Zurita drained one of her own. Nigimar drew a shooting foul with 3:39 on the clock and made both free throws for a 12-5 lead. Marley Langi put in a field goal, and then Gonzalez sank both of her free throws with 2:29 left. Sixty-seven seconds later Mali Ennis sank a field goal. Searcy scored the Bear Cubs' final points of the period with 44 seconds to go when she intercepted a pass at the Trojans' right wing, drove down, and banked in the layup while getting fouled. Her and-one free throw put the Bear Cubs in front 17-9. Zurita scored the next five points on a 3-pointer and a basket at the buzzer after a Bear Cubs' turnover. By the end of the quarter, the Bear Cubs' lead was just 17-14.

Jenika Zurita took the Trojans' first shot of the second quarter and made the field goal. Lucca Lowenberg accounted for the Bear Cubs' first five points on two free throws and a 3-pointer for a 22-18 lead at the 7:08 mark. The Bear Cubs missed all 11 of their remaining shot attempts and added only three out of four free throws by Meredith Gilbertson and two out of two by Ivy Gonzalez. Meanwhile the Trojans scored 14 points on six free throws, a field goal by Marley Langi, and two 3-pointers by Amanda Diaz to sprint out in front 32-27 by halftime.

Jazmynn Sciancalepore-Garcia sank two field goals in the first minute of the third quarter. Nearly two minutes later Lucca Lowenberg swished the first of her two 3-pointers in a row to close the gap to 33-36 with 6:47 on the clock. Marley Langi hit a 3-pointer, and then Reese Searcy tallied five consecutive points on a 3-pointer and a drive between defenders to get within a point, 38-39, at the 5:24 mark. Emma Aoki sank a field goal with 5:02 left. The Bear Cubs missed all eight of their remaining shot attempts and only added one more point on Ivy Gonzalez's one out of two free throws with 4:08 left. The Trojans weren't done tacking on points, as Jenika Zurita drained two 3-pointers to widen their lead to 47-39 by the end of the period.

Lucca Lowenberg scored the first two points of the fourth quarter on a fast break layup after Meredith Gilbertson intercepted a pass. The Trojans responded with an 8-0 run on a field goal and two 3-pointers to increase their lead to 55-41 with 7:39 on the clock. Lucca Lowenberg swished her fifth 3-pointer a minute later. Emma Aoki scored a basket with 4:46 left. Reese Searcy drew a foul on a drive and made both free throws. Jenika Zurita was fouled on a shot with 4:16 remaining and made one free throw to put their lead at 58-46. Gilbertson was successful on a drive 35 seconds after that. The Bear Cubs missed their next three shots before Lowenberg scored the final three points of the contest on a 3-point play drive with 37 seconds to go. The Bear Cubs fouled, but it didn't put the Trojans in the bonus situation. The Trojans were able to keep inbounding and eventually dribble out the clock on their 58-51 win.

Although the Bear Cubs committed 19 turnovers, their biggest problem was their inability to make shots, particularly in the second quarter when they made only 1 out of 14 (7%) and were outscored 10-18. For the game the Bear Cubs made only 14 out of 65 shots (22%), including only 7 out of 28 (25%) of their 3-point attempts. Jenika Zurita led the Trojans with five 3-pointers and a total of 22 points. Marley Langi scored 12 points.
