Both the Bear Cubs and the Beavers were in for a fight during the match on October 11th. The Bear Cubs would find the net first from a penalty kick given as one the Bear Cubs was fouled in the penalty box. Nikki Elliott would take the kick for the Bear Cubs and beat Keeper Sylvia Flood on her left side in the thirty-fifth minute. The second goal would come in the thirty-eighth minute as Amanda Galbraith found the net. Galbraith was sent a ball in the air from Kaitlyn Haub towards the Beaver goal. Galbraith would volley the ball as she was being pulled down by an American River defender, and beat Flood to put the Bear Cubs up 2-0 before the half would end.

The Second half turned out to be a physical and scrappy game till the last whistle. Both teams would go scoreless in the second half, and the Bear Cubs would secure the 2-0 win.

The Bear Cubs next match will be at home on October 14th at 3:30pm against Diablo Valley College.
