Bear Cub Polo is Back

SRJC Women's Water Polo has returned after a five year hiatus and the Bear Cubs are thrilled to be back at it. SRJC will wrap up their conference season play this week on the road against Modesto Junior College. The Cubs will then advance to the Big 8 Conference Tournament, November 3-4 hosted by American River College in Sacramento. 

In this rebuilding year for SRJC, talented team leaders have emerged including: 

  • our leading scorer, Riley West, who has 41 goals on the season along with 7 assists, 23 steals, and 6 ejections drawn,
  • our leader in steals and assists, Maddie West, who has 36 steals and 16 assistson the season along with 14 goals, 4 field blocks, and 4 ejections drawn, and
  • our leading goalkeeper, Bella Gettman-Mitchell with 35 saves.

Other signifcant season efforts include Stella Clarkson (9 goals, 11 assists, 13 steals), Stanislava Holzhauser (7 goals, 6 assists, 16 steals), Alexandra Pinto (16 steals), and Rose Williams (16 steals, 27 saves).
