The Falcons traveled to Santa Rosa on Thursday and, despite scoring a run in the first inning, could not get the hits they needed as they lost to Bear Cubs, 3-1. After the Falcons scored in the first inning on a single, a sac bunt, and another single, they never again had more than one hit in any inning, finishing the contest with seven singles. The Falcons led from the first inning until the seventh, when a walk and a hit batter led to two Cubs' runs for a 2-1 lead. Starter Zack Jedlowski didn't allow a run in his almost four innings of work, but the offense didn't back him up as the Falcons' record dropped to 4-7 in Big 8 play.
