Baseball 3-3 in Conference After 3-Game Sweep of Sac City

Last week, SRJC baseball evened their conference record to 3-3 with a 3 game sweep of Sacramento City College.

The Tuesday and Thursday games were both come-from-behind wins, trailing 3-1 going into the 8th and trailing 6-1 going into the 7th respectively. SRJC showed their will and posted a 5-run 8th inning on Tuesday, winning 6-3; and a 6-run 7th inning on Thursday's 9-6 win at Sacramento City College.

The pitching staff showed their resiliency this series with Kyle Mitchell spot starting on Thursday's game, and Evan Hill emergency starting on Saturday. In Saturday's game SRJC's offense posted another 6-run inning, this time in the 2nd inning, giving Hill (5 innings, 0 runs and 1 hit) the win in an 8-1 ball game. Some big hitters this series included Bryce Nagata, going 5-11 with 4 runs and 4 RBIs, and Jackson Leslie going 4-10 with 3 runs and 3 doubles.

The Bear Cubs look to win a another series this week against Diablo Valley.
