Damon Neidlinger enters his 21st season at the helm of SRJC’s Baseball program, and it his 29th season coaching overall with the Bear Cubs.  Coach Neidlinger has coached 28 junior college All Americans and numerous professional baseball players, including three big leaguers. More than 240 of his athletes have transferred to four year institutions, including over 100 on Division I scholarships. Coach Neidlinger has been a part of five State Tournament Teams (1999, 2005, 2013, 2016, & 2017 2nd Place), guiding the 2005 & 2016 teams to a CA State Title.

The 2017 Bear Cubs compiled an overall record of 38-11 and 19-5 in conference to claim Big 8 Conference Championship.  The Bear Cubs came up just short of back to back State Titles with their Runner-up finish at the CA State Championship.  The Bear Cubs finished the year #2 in the State.

Neidlinger graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a degree in Physical Education and received his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University.  Damon and his wife Mandi have three children, twenty-seven year old daughter, Amanda, twenty-three year old son Derek, and nineteen year-old son, Brett.  Damon enjoys spending his spare time with his family.
