Big 8 Champion Morris Leads SRJC at the State Championship Meet

Four members of SRJC's men's team represented the Cubs at the 2024 3C2A State Swimming and Diving Championships May 2-4 at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa inlcuing sophomore swimmers Andrew Morris and Greyson McCaw and freshmen divers Eric Hansen and Dylan Richardson

Morris led the team with three top 10 finishes in his events.  He opened his meet with a personal best and a 10th place finish in the 200 Free (1:42.50), and just 40 minutes later he pulled an incredible double and took the silver medal in the 100 Back with another personal best time (50.32).  Finally, Morris completed his SRJC career with strong 6th place finish in the 200 Back (1:53.17). McCaw finished 16th overall in the 500 Free (4:53.63) and also competed in the prelims of the 200 Back (2:02.53) on the final day of competition. 

Hansen scored on both boards taking 7th on the 3M (163.95pts) and 13th on the 1M (143.85pts). Richardson had season best performance on the 3M board finishing 12th overall (138.35pts).

All American rankings will be released next week. Congratulations on a successful season.
