The Bear Cubs traveled to Chabot College on 11/23 to compete at the P.S.T. Invitational for the final regular season tournament of the year. The team gave one of their best performances of the season in the final tune up before post-season play, taking home the 1st place team trophy. Behind another full team effort, the Bear Cubs placed 10 wrestlers individually, including four finalists and two champions. Placers included Karmine Berndt (141) 5th place with a 4-2 record, Tyler Boldt (157) 5th place with a 2-2 record, Derek Ruffin (125) 4th place with a 4-2 record, Ikaika Madayag (149) 4th place with a 4-2 record, Jesus Anguiano (184) 4th place with a 3-2 record, Zac Morgan (174) 3rd place with a 4-1 record, Ali Hamzia (141) 2nd place with a 4-1 record, Joe Ellis (197) 2nd place with a 2-1 record, & the two 1st place performances were Tito Rodarte (149) and Rayhan Jaleel (197) both with a 4-0 record. Next up for the Bear Cubs is the Nor Cal Regional Championships at home in Haehl Pavilion on 12/7.
