Santa Rosa Junior College Cross Country traveled to Salinas for the Northern California Championship preview hosted by Hartnell College at Toro Park.

The SRJC Men's Cross Country team had a hard-fought race.  Struggling with illness over the last two weeks the Bear Cubs were without their number 4 runner heading into the meet.  The Bear Cubs battled through this adversity to finish a commendable 6th.

Leading the way for the Bear Cubs was freshman Isaac Feleay, who finished 22nd overall with a time of 21:58. Close behind were teammates Luke Baird, Adrian Estrada and Jared Hayes, finishing 26th, 29th and 30th respectively. Baird clocked in at 22:11, while Estrada and Hayes followed closely at 22:16. Rounding out the scoring was Johnny Ando with a time of 22:48 for 44th place.

The Bear Cubs will take a much needed bye week to train and refocus before hosting the Pat Ryan Invitational at Spring Lake on October 18th.
