In extra innings, Martin took over for Baughn on the mound in the eighth, throwing a quick three-up, three-down inning. Both teams put base runners on in the ninth but did not score. Chaos ensued in the tenth inning as the Bear Cub offense put pressure on Folsom Lake's defense. Martin finished off Folsom Lake's offense in the bottom of the tenth, securing a 7-3 conference victory.
