             In the Consolation Final of the CCSF Tourney the Bear Cubs (4-6) faced off against the Eagles (5-7) of Laney College of Oakland. The Bear Cubs got on the scoreboard first when Sadie Irvine sank a short shot 93 seconds into the game. Twenty-five seconds later she made one of two free throws. A single Eagle free throw with 7:26 on the clock made the score 3-1. The teams traded leads with Laney going ahead 14-10 with 1:26 left. Jenny Eggers scored 14 seconds later, and Ashley Hart banked in a short shot just before the buzzer to end the quarter with the score tied at 14.

            The Eagles scored first in the second quarter after 80 seconds of play. The Bear Cubs missed their first six shots before Meme Nicolis put one in at the 5:08 mark to cut their deficit to 16-19. One 3-pointer each by Sadie Irvine and Madison Barsuglia put the Bear Cubs in front 22-21. Two free throws each by Angel Bernardi and Jenny Eggers and a Tiffany Salinas 2-footer stretched the lead to 28-22 with 1:22 left. The Eagles scored six unanswered points on a 3-pointer, a field goal, and a free throw to tie the score going into halftime.

            The Eagles began the second half with a field goal and a 3-pointer, while the Bear Cubs turned the ball over four straight trips into their front court. La Donna Saint Louis finally scored a field goal with 7:04 on the clock, making the score 30-33. Following a pair of free throws with 3:00 left, the Eagles were ahead 37-36. After Hayley Louzao sank one of two free throws, Ashley Hart, Jenny Eggers, and Zaina Depina each made one field goal for a 43-37 lead with 22 seconds remaining. The Eagles hit a 3-pointer with left 4 seconds left to make the score 43-40.

            The teams traded field goals in the first minute of the fourth quarter. Then the Eagles assumed a 47-45 lead with 7:35 on the clock. La Donna Saint Louis tied the score 1:30 later. Two unanswered field goals by the Eagles put them ahead 51-47 at the 3:31 mark. A field goal by La Donna Saint Louis cut their lead in half, but then the Eagles hit another field goal. After a Bear Cub miss, the Eagles drew a shooting foul and made both free throws with 2:18 to go up 55-49. Madison Barsuglia's 3-pointer with 2:03 left cut their deficit to 52-55. The Bear Cubs drew two fouls in the next minute but missed all four free throws. Jenny Eggers drew a foul with 50 seconds remaining and made both free throws to pull to 54-55. After an Eagle miss, the Bear Cubs took a shot that missed, but Tiffany Salinas rebounded and banked in the go-ahead basket with 10 seconds left. The Eagles inbounded and pushed the ball. Keana Thompson was able to drive by a defender to score a 4-footer with five seconds on the clock. The Bear Cubs called a timeout and advanced the ball to the front court. The Eagles called a timeout after seeing the Bear Cubs' setup. The Bear Cubs inbounded and ran a play that got Tiffany Salinas open for a shot near the basket, but her shot didn't fall in as the final buzzer sounded signaling another one-point loss, 56-57.

            Both teams made 36% of their shot attempts: the Eagles made 20 out of 56 and the Bear Cubs 21 out of 58. The Eagles made 13 out of 19 free throws (68%), but the Bear Cubs made only 11 out of 22 (50%). After committing 13 turnovers against LA Valley and 10 against San Bernardino, the Bear Cubs turned the ball over 32 times versus the Eagles.

            All of the Bear Cubs scored with La Donna Saint Louis tallying 12 points. Ashley Hart and Jenny Eggers each totaled 8 points, Sadie Irvine and Madison Barsuglia 6 each, Tiffany Salinas 5, Angel Bernardi 4, Zaina Depina 2, Destiny Grayer 2, Meme Nicolis 2, and Hayley Louzao 1. Salinas grabbed 11 rebounds, including 6 offensive boards. Nicolis pulled down 8 rebounds. Irvine made 4 steals and passed for 3 assists. Barsuglia also made 3 assists.
