The Bear Cubs (2-1) hosted their own 4-team crossover tournament featuring fellow Big 8 Conference member San Joaquin Delta College (2-1) vs. City College of San Francisco (1-0) in the first game, followed by the home team against Shasta College (3-3) in the second game. Ivy Gonzalez took the Bear Cubs' first shot and sank the 5-footer. The Knights took the lead on Emma Gaddy's 3-pointer. Lindsey Arellano drove along the left baseline and dropped in a one-handed floater from about 3 feet. Bailey Matos swished a 3-pointer at the 6:39 mark. The Bear Cubs scored five times in a row—Gonzalez's 4-footer, Kaia Eubanks' one free throw, Gonzalez's 15-footer, Abigail Tacla's drive and pullup shot from 4 feet out, and then her one free throw the next time down—to take an 12-9 lead with 3:23 on the clock. About a minute later Cece Solano drained a 3-pointer. Kiley Johnson's two free throws with 2:03 left accounted for the Knights' last two points of the quarter, cutting the Bear Cubs' margin to 15-11.

Sydney Martin converted a 3-point play on a low post drive 61 seconds into the second quarter. The next time down, Ivy Gonzalez hit a 3-pointer to widen the lead to 21-11. The Knights scored two field goals while the Bear Cubs didn't score again until Kaia Eubanks sank two free throws with 3:52 on the clock. Bailey Matos made a field goal with 1:41 left, and then Martin completed the scoring in the quarter with a 14-footer, making the score 25-17 going into halftime.

Sydney Martin scored the first two field goals of the third quarter on cuts to the basket and assists from Kaia Eubanks. During the next five minutes the Knights went on an 8-3 run on four field goals by Graceyn Harlan, while Ivy Gonzalez's 3-pointer was the Bear Cubs' only basket. Gigi Velasquez dropped in a shot from beyond the arc with 2:20 left and over a minute later Diana Lomeli-Gomez's steal and layup with 55 seconds on the clock made their deficit 31-32. Hailey Webb dropped in a 3-pointer from the right wing 21 seconds after that and then banked in a desperation one at the buzzer to stretch the lead to 38-31.

The Knights sank two field goals before Kaia Eubanks banked in a 1-footer off of Cece Solano' assist. Lindsey Arellano's 3-pointer was followed by two field goals by Graceyn Harlan. Kaia Eubanks's 12- footer off of Arellano's assist at the 5:06 mark put the lead at 45-39. Gigi Velasquez's 3-point play eight seconds later cut that difference in half. Ivy Gonzalez's 3-pointer 16 seconds after that got the lead back up to six. Her 4-footer off of Shasta Vlasak's assist dropped in with 2:56 left. Velasquez's basket with 1:48 on the clock made the deficit 44-50. Gonzalez swished her fourth 3-pointer 70 seconds later, and Harlan scored one last field goal for the Knights, resulting in a final score of 53-46.

The Bear Cubs made 6 out of 9 shots (67%) in the first quarter. Then the Knights switched to a zone defense, making it a lot tougher for the Bear Cubs to score. They only made 3 out of 14 shots (21%) in the second quarter but were able make 11 out of 27 (41%) in the second half. The Bear Cubs committed 23 turnovers, three of which the Knights turned into layups. Two Knights reached double figures in scoring: Graceyn Harlan 16 and Gigi Velasquez 10.
