The NorCal Regional Wrestling Tournament will take place this weekend, Saturday 12/6, at Chabot College. The top six placers in each weight class qualify for the State Championships on December 13-14, at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. The team awards as voted by their peers are as follows: Team Captain sophomore Greg Robinson; MVP's sophomore Richard Morris and freshman Quintton Bowlds; Commitment to Excellence sophomore Tristan Morales with a 3.774 GPA; and earning First Team All Conference is freshman Fred Duerr.

Coach Fitzpatrick stated that, "Some of the guys are beat up and dealing with nagging injuries. They have worked hard and they are as ready as they can be heading into the big tournaments. I expect we will qualify five to six guys to move on to the State Tournament and with some good fortune we have two to three guys with a chance of medaling/placing in the top 8 at state. Richard Morris at 141, Greg Robinson at 174, Fred Duerr at 197, and Quintton Bolwds at 285 have the best chances based on their season to date performances.
