The SRJC Women's Swim & Dive Team kicked off their season at home by hosting the 54th Annual NorCal Relays Meet. The lady Bear Cubs got off to a strong start winning eight out of the 11 relays, and the team of Miranda Howell, Christine Lewis, Celine Sargis, Megan Warren went 3/3 setting two new meet records. They smashed the 11 year old 400 Free Relay record with a 3:43.70 (previous record 3:44.83, was set by SRJC's State Championship team in 2004). They also took down the 200 Free Relay record, 1:42.52 (previous record 1:43.16 was also set by SRJC in last season in 2014).
SRJC divers Kristin Scmidt and Logan Williams also finished first overall when they paired up to compete on both the 1m and 3m boards.
The Bear Cubs next meet will be the Las Positas Invitational in Livermore, Friday 2/20 – Saturday 2/21.
