Jennifer Graham (Thiem) was a four year varsity letter winner, three time team MVP, and four year North Coast Section scholar-athlete at Maria Carrillo High School.  After her successful prep career, she enrolled at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2001 and swam her way to significant honors and achievements under coach Jill McCormick.

In her freshman year, Graham qualified to compete at the California Community College State Championship meet by winning three events at the Bay Valley Conference Championship:  the 50 and 100 breaststrokes and the 100 individual medley.  At the state meet she was the top seed and again finished first in the same three events.  Along the way she set SRJC records in those events and swam on the 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.  Graham was the Bay Valley Conference Swimmer of the Year and also named to the All American team.  Additionally, Graham competed on the Bear Cub water polo team for McCormick where she was an All NorCal selection.  That same year, she was a finalist at the U.S. age group championships in the synchronized swimming and qualified for the U.S. Open.

Coach McCormick praised Graham's fierce competitive nature and knew that at the state meet Jennifer had "a good chance to win all three."

After 2001, Graham earned a full scholarship to San Diego State University.  She continued to compete, swimming on the Aztec squad.  At SDSU she finaled in the 100 breaststroke at the Mountain West Conference Championships, and she set a number of "Top 10" all-time marks for the university.  After receiving her bachelor's degree, Graham came back to assist the Bear Cubs in 2010 while she finished her master's degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University.

After college Graham was involved with the U.S. Open and Senior National meets for synchronized swimming.  Today she resides in American Canyon with her husband Ryan Thiem and is the head coach for Vallejo Aquatics club swim team.
