Alyssa Stewart and Jaimie Flores fought through injury and the elements this week at the NorCal Heptathlon Championships. Both Bear Cubs were injured, but showed heart by continuing to compete despite the circumstances.
Some highlights in the meet for the Bear Cub women was Flores' season's best and 3rd place overall finish in the 200-meter dash at 27.07 seconds. Jaimie's 7th place and season's best Shot Put of 8.43 meters was followed by Stewart's 8th place Shot Put at 8.38 meters. Stewart ended the competition with 2,772 (14th) points and Flores with 2,485 (15th).
