Kaitlin Ferguson enters her fifth year at the helm of SRJC Volleyball. Ferguson is an adjunct faculty member in the Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance Department and has been teaching and coaching at SRJC since the Spring of 2013.

Prior to taking over the program in 2013, Ferguson was an assistant coach at SRJC starting in 2011, as well as a power team club coach since 2006 for Sonoma West and Aftershock Volleyball Clubs. She was also the varsity volleyball coach at Santa Rosa High School from 2011 to 2013. Coach Ferguson attended the Santa Rosa Junior College from 2006-2008, and was an All-Conference and All-State setter for the Bear Cubs both seasons, as well as the team captain her sophomore season. In 2007, Ferguson led the Bear Cubs to the State Tournament, and a 5th place finish in California. After leaving SRJC, she went to UC Santa Barbara where she played her junior year for the UCSB club volleyball team, and was the MVP of her third place finishing team at nationals. Coach Ferguson has taken the Bear Cubs to the final four State Tournament as an assistant coach twice, and has lead the team to several post-season appearances in her time as head coach as well.

Ferguson graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelors Degree in Communication, and Sport Management. She has since earned four other degrees including two associates degrees from SRJC in Fitness, Nutrition, Health, and Kinesiology, as well as a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration through Concordia University and another Master's Degree in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University.

Coach Ferguson is passionate about being knowledgeable enough to work with and train athletes at this competitive level and therefore has coupled her education by earning her Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as a TRX®

Suspension and Rip Training certifications, and the Madd Dog Spinning® certification. Ferguson spends her energy focused on training and developing her teams utilizing the information she gains from her education and training. She also gets some time to stay competitive herself by playing in and running local outdoor volleyball tournaments which help support the program.
