Women's Water Polo opened their season against some strong socal opponents last weekend at the Marin Tournament on August 30-31.  The overall four-game team performance was led by returning sisters Riley West and Maddie West.  Riley statistically led the offense posting 9 goals, 2 assists, 7 steals and 6 ejections drawn; while Maddie led defensively with 2 goals, 4 assists, and 10 steals. 

Other standout performances included returner Rose Williams with 6 goals, 4 assists, and 5 ejections drawn, as well as freshman talent Jada Andrews adding 7 goals, 2 assists, and 4 steals during tournament play.  Starting goalie Victoria Doane had 23 saves and 2 steals as well.

The Bear Cubs have a couple weeks to train now before traveling to their Big 8 Conference opener vs. San Joaquin Delta College on Wednesday, October 2nd in Stockton.
