Cubs Recognized with All American and All Conference Honors

In only their second season back after the women's water polo program was dropped in 2019, the Bear Cubs improved their overall win-loss record this season and had several individuals honored with both All American and All Conference honors. 

Leading the team defense for her second season, sophomore 2-meter defender, Maddie West finished the season with 47 steals, 18 goals, 24 assists, 7 ejections drawn, and 4 field blocks. As a result she was named to the NorCal Water Polo All American Team as well as the Big 8's All Conference First Team. West also earned SRJC's Defensive MVP award. 

Sophomore attacker, Stella Clarkson, was recognized as an Honorable Mention All American as well as named a member of the Big 8's All Conference Second Team. Clarkson had 12 goals, 15 assists, 11 steals and 6 ejections drawn on the season.

Sophomore team co-captain and utility player, Jada Andrews, had 21 goals, 16 assists, 18 steals, and 7 ejections drawn and was named All Conference Honorable Mention as was her teammate, center Rose Williams, who had 26 goals, 4 assists, 7 steals, and 11 ejections drawn. 

Sophomore center and team co-captain, Riley West was also named All Conference Honorable Mention and SRJC's Offensive MVP with her 39 goals, 9 assists, 23 steals, and 13 ejections drawn on the season. West also received SRJC's prestigious Commitment to Excellence Award given to second season athletes who maintain an overall 3.5 GPA or higher.

Other SRJC award winners included goalie Tori Doane's Commitment to Excellence; sophomore attacker Stanislava Holzhauser's Coaches Award; and Addison Klosevitz's Most Improved Award.
